Recce is a production term short for reconnaissance. To do or carry out a recce is to take a pre-filming visit to location to determine its suitability for shooting. Recce is extremely important as the greater the amount of preparation prior to a shoot, the more productive you can be on location, the smaller the possibility things can go wrong, and the better the final outcome is likely to be. A recce is one of the most important forms of shoot preparation. During a recce, we will look at accesibility to the location and if it fits with what we plan to film. For example, is there enough room to run for the running shot in the trailer. If we have permission to film there at that time of day. Most importatnly we need suitability for the shoot. We need to pick areas with less people and less noise to get the best footage and audio possible.

This is similar to what the shot would look like but since we couldn't do it on the storyboard creator website, we created it ourselves.
