As part of my team, I have been asked to do technical research.
Movie Plot:
This high action and fast-paced movie with a mix of handheld horror and drama starts with the disappearance of a friend (Tony) to a group that refuses to believe that he simply “went missing”. This denial leads to the group consisting of Lisa, Dwayne and Spencer going on the hunt for there missing friend and this leads to them uncovering more than they were hoping for from dirty cops, a cover up and a possible explanation to the disappearance of their friend.
Our original title idea was Transfusion, as the mystery would unfold to be a supernatural creature that needs human blood to survive. But the film style is handheld so we thought that the threat had to be believable like by the 1999 horror film, the Blair Witch Project. So we came up with a few names that can be seen on the spider diagram. As a group, we chose Ghosted. This is because it can have a double meaning. 'Ghosted' can mean to be ignored by someone on social media. It can also mean ghost like the supernatural one. This works as the film will have a social media aspect when they realize that their friend has gone missing when they are 'ghosted' by them.
The trailer will have moody lighting to match the horror genre and it will be filmed with a handheld camera. This was inspired by the film The Blair Witch Project.
